The Wren School, Reading, Berks: Values and Ethos

Our School

Values and Ethos

The Wren School believes that education is a long term investment and skills for life are developed by teaching children how to think, not what to think.

The Wren School sets out to inspire students to nurture high expectations and aspirations for themselves and respect for the citizens of our local and global communities.

The Wren School envisages an exceptional secondary school, with an environment that encourages and facilitates learning, provides a broad curriculum for our students and promotes each individual’s passage to becoming an active and engaged citizen.

The Wren School sets out to inspire students to nurture high expectations and aspirations for themselves and respect for the citizens of our local and global communities.

We promote establishing a modern, multi-cultural, community-based school, in a global context.

We believe in our students and encourage their self-belief through innovative and effective teaching.

Our vision is of a school whose most passionate advocates are its students.
