Congratulations to every single one of our Year 13’s on making it through two incredibly challenging and tough years. We are delighted to celebrate with them today as they receive these well-deserved results which send them forward onto exciting new destinations and opportunities.
We are proud of each and every one of our students. They have shown huge levels of commitment, resilience and positivity throughout their time in our Sixth Form. It is testament to their attitude, hard work and agility, alongside the tireless dedication of our staff that we are able to stand here together with these exceptional young people.
Our students are rightly proud of their achievements, efforts and successes and deserve all of our praise. These grades mark the end of a journey which has shaped and honed their character through unexpected and challenging times, and sees 85% of our students successfully moving on to their first choice of university or into a high level apprenticeship.
Today is not just about the grades on pieces of paper, today is about recognising the resilience and dedication our students have shown, the journey they have been on and how they have come through it stronger and wiser. They are exceptional, inspiring and talented young adults, and we couldn’t be prouder of them.
Thanks must also go to our dedicated and passionate staff who have worked so incredibly hard supporting our students, and to our families and the whole of The Wren School community for their continued support and encouragement.
Today is also an important day for us as a school as it marks the end of the journey of our first ever cohort of students. The Wren opened its doors 7 years ago to a small groups of keen Year 7 students, stepping foot into their secondary education with us, who now find themselves at the end of their journey. Our Year 13’s have seen huge changes to their school over the years, embracing each one with great positivity, setting the standard for all future students to come. As the school continues to grow our founding students will always hold a special place here at The Wren.
We wish all of our students the very best in their next steps of education, learning and employment, safe in the knowledge that they have nurtured the character and skills needed to excel in wherever their journey takes them. We look forward to hearing about, and following, their next chapters, and wish them all a safe remainder of the summer.
